As Executive Vice President and one of the managing partners at Optima Asset Management, Archie Ponce works directly with clients to manage their portfolios and provide tailored financial guidance. He also plays a key leadership role in overseeing the firm’s operations, compliance, and long-term strategic growth. His multifaceted role reflects a deep commitment to both client success and organizational excellence.
Archie began his career in 1997 and brings nearly three decades of financial industry experience across brokerage, investment counseling, and institutional support. Before joining Optima in 2007, he held leadership and client service roles at firms including Charles Schwab, where he received multiple national service awards. It was during his time managing Schwab’s institutional relationship with Optima that he became deeply impressed with the firm’s client-first culture and values—ultimately prompting him to relocate from Orlando and join the team.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Archie holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the University of South Florida. His qualifications include former FINRA licenses and professional designations earned throughout his career. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his daughters, staying active, and participating in charitable fundraising events. He also engages in local networking and social groups that keep him connected to the broader Dallas community.
